The Gutter Twins album finally came out. I had been waiting for that album to come out for some time now. And the best part is, it has completely lived up to the hype. It’s a very good album from start to finish. So finally there is something new out there for me to listen to. Leave it to Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan though. They never disapoint.

Well after more listening, the new Sheryl Crow album is not very good. It all sounds the same, and it doesn’t sound like anything she has done before. She’s got the little dance tunes and stuff. I don’t know it’s just not right. I’m just not a fan of it.

I just now remembered that I got the new Sheryl Crow album. I got it almost 3 weeks ago and I haven’t even listened to it once. I’m checking it out and so far so good. I’m only on track two, so I don’t have a real solid opinion yet, but after I listen to it maybe I’ll post a nice little review of it.

I love the Screaming Trees. That’s one band that was so overlooked when they were making music, and it’s sad. Honestly they should have been right up there with Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. There are every bit just as good as those guys. But, I guess not everybody can be that big. Either way they made great tunes and they still sound great 15 years later.

I’ve been listening to nothing but Nirvana for a couple of days now. For some reason it just hit me and I was really in the mood to listen to them. Then, once I started, I couldn’t stop. It had actually been quite a while since I sat down and really listened to them, so it’s fun doing it again. Songs that I hadn’t heard in a long time I realized again why I like them so much. They were truly a one of a kind band, and I really miss them.

I haven’t listened to anything but Clutch for like the last week. I love the crap out of this band. They are one of the very few bands that I have actually listened to for the last 10 plus years of my life and enjoyed pretty much everything they have put out. I just can’t get enough.

I’ve been listening to The Who all day long. I just flat out can’t get enough. I know they have got alot of really popular songs, but at the same time in some strange round about way, I think they are really under rated in some aspects. There albums are just perfect from start to finish. I only wish I could see them live one day.

I hate being the guy that knows how to use computers. My mom called me last night and asked if I could take some of her old cassette tapes and put them on the CDs. Of course I couldn’t say no, but that is really not a project I was looking forward to doing. She asked if I cared how many I did, and I said no. Knowing that meant she was going to give me a crap load of them. And, I was right. She dropped by about 25 tapes for me to convert for her. So, now I have to dig out m tape player and hook it up to the computer, record, and listen and seperate all the songs for her. I’m half tempted to just go online and buy her all of the CDs instead. It might cost a few more dollars, but it would be alot less work, and it would be kinda a nice gift to her instead of just giving her back a bunch of blank CDs with the names written in Sharpie on them. But, I’ll have to see how much they will all cost. I’m such a nice guy.

I hate MTV. What happened to it? It used to be really cool. But, now they don’t even show any music videos hardly at all. I guess I’m just old now and don’t dig the crap that they put on there now. It’s all stupid dating shows or reality shows which are obviously people at least trying to act. I guess even if they did show videos, I still wouldn’t like it because I don’t like popular music much anymore either. But, at least it would be Music, when after all it is called MusicTelevision.

Who still uses CDs? I know I don’t. I guess alot of people still use them in there car, but I even use my iPod in there, too. CDs are too expensive now. Record sales are at an all time low, yet for some reason stores are raising the prices on the albums. That’s not how it’s supposed to work. It’s really stupid. Either lower the prices or start making good full solid albums again instead of making an album that only has like 2 good songs on it. That’s all they worry about is the couple good radio singles they can get out there. They make more money that way since nobody is buying the CDs anymore. Stupid record companies.
