I just found out the Rob Zombie is making a new Halloween the movie. I’m not really one that keeps up on new movies that comes out, so I have to say I was very pleasently surprised to hear about it. The Halloween series has always been one of my all time favorites. And, I have really enjoyed the couple other movies that Zombie has made. House of 1000 Corpses and Devil’s Rejects were both very good. They’re probably 2 of the best horror movies to come out in the last ten years or so. So, needless to say I think him doing the new Halloween will be really good.
I’m never really that big of a fan of remaking movies. I always say if you can’t come up with your own new creative ideas then you shouldn’t be doing it. But from what I have read it sounds like he is really taking this in a new direction. Instead of it just being Myers walking around and killing people it’s going to show more things that is going on inside of his head, and why he is doing those type of things. That sounds really cool. And, since Rob Zombie wrote and directed it I’m sure that it’s really close to what his vision of the movie is. Alot of times a director will change around what the writter did to make it work on the screen. But, since he’s done both jobs that will help the story out alot.
I can’t wait. I’ll go see it the night it comes out without a doubt. I’m glad it’s less than a month away, but at the same time it would be cool if it came out on Halloween, or closer to it. Maybe the DVD will come out around then, that would be cool. But, who knows. Either way, I’m going to be there for it. It’s going to be double good. Halloween and Zombie and the same time, that’s just perfect. Oh, and I’m sure that Sheri Moon will be in it as well, so that’s a big plus. That’s worth my price of admission by itself.
The Simpsons movie is getting very close now. I can’t freaking wait. I know I just said in one of my last posts that I don’t really care about going to the theater, but this is a different story. I will be going to the theater, and chances are I will be going multiple times the first day it comes out. Me and my friend have already said that there is a good chance that we are going to go see it all day long. From the first showing of the day to the last. That would be so awesome. It’ll cost a few dollars, but oh well. It will be worth every dollar. I’ve never looked forward to a movie this much in my life. I’ve basically been waiting 18 years for this to happen, and now it’s almost here. I’m rather exciting if you can’t tell. I’ll make sure to do a blog about it when I see it and review it and all that good stuff.
I watched Donnie Darko for about the 1,000th time last night. Yet, everytime you watch it so notice something different. And, it’s such a confusing movie that each time you watch it you think you have it all figured out. But, when you watch it again, you figure everything out a different way. It’s such a crazy movie. In all reality in doesn’t make any sence, but it’s still really good. Just everything about it was so well done. The camera angles, the plot, the music…all great. Although I didn’t like the Director’s Cut DVD because they changed alot of the music from the original release. Great movie though. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recomend it.
Not sure why I’m writting on here. I really don’t have anything to say. It just felt like something I should be doing. So, here I am. I’ve been watching alot of tv lately. Well, not exactly tv, but DVDs that I have bought of tv shows. I buy the crap and never have time to sit down and watch them. Or at least that’s what I tell myself. But, the last couple days after I get home I watch a couple episodes. It’s fun, and a good time killer. I actually stopped buying new tv DVDs because I was so far behind. But, now that I’m watching some that’s a good enough excuse for me to go out and buy some more. Yup, I think I’ll do that tomorrow. I still need another Futurama set I think. I’ll have to check. DVDs are great.
I don’t watch enough movies anymore. I used to watch a couple movies every week. Now, I’m too the point where I maybe watch a couple movies a month. For one thing there isn’t as much coming out that I actually want to watch. Secondly, I just don’t seem to have the time for it anymore. Once I get home from work I don’t really want to do anything at all. Even though watching a movie requires little to no work at all, I just don’t want to commit to 90 minutes. I don’t know why. I guess I’m getting old.
