My mom told me the other day that she just signed up for a membership with a directbuy company. I always just assumed they were a scam, but we talked more about it and it will be great for her. She bought a fixer upper a year ago so it will be great to get all of the supplies she needs without paying retail.

I’ve started thinking about real estate again. I know I’ve talked about it alot, but I have gone back and forth for a long time. My brother has been doing alot of stuff with real estate lately, so it’s kinda making me want to do something too. He’s been making some good money flipping houses, and if he can do it so can I. But, at the same time if I started doing it, I would kind of be working against him, and that’s not cool. So maybe I’ll actually just ask him if he needs any help with anything. If we put our minds together I’m sure we could rock it.

I never thought I would be saying this, but I am really thinking about buying an outdoor kitchen setup. We spend so much time outside on our new deck now, that is really does make sence to do. We are always carrying stuff from inside out there, so why not just do it up nice? It would save us alot of time, and it would just be really nice. There is a house a few doors down that has a pretty nice set up, and everytime I drive by there I love to look at it. So, we might as well just do one up ourselves.

I finally got around to ordering some new lighting fixtures for the house. It’s something I have been wanting to do for a while now, I just never got around to it. All the ones I was looking at in stores were pretty expensive, and I just didn’t feel like saving up that much money for them. But, then I found a bunch online that were really nice and more than affordable, so I just went ahead and took advantage of that. I only ordered stuff for two rooms so far, but I think with my next pay bonus, I am going to go ahead and order some more and pretty much redo the house house.

I have decided to go ahead and redo my bathroom lighting. We’ve redone a couple things in there already over the last few weeks, but the lights have yet to be touched. So right now they look even crappier and older than they even are. I think once we get these lights installed in there that will really be the last thing we need to get before the room is pretty much finished. It took us a while to decide which ones to get because we both wanted different things. They had so many different ones on the website that was all in our budget so that didn’t make our decision very easy. But, after a few days of going back and forth on which ones we liked and which ones we did not like, we finally decided. I think they are going to look really good once they get here. The good thing is, the shipping wasn’t that much. That’s what took us so long to actually buy them was alot of other sites shipping was too expensive. But, this site was pretty cheap. I can’t wait til they get here.

I have been needing a new computer desk for a long time now. The one that I am using now has been put together and taken apart so many times now, I’m pretty sure it’s just going to collapse one day. But, every store I look at all of there desks are the some old crap and boring looking. I always wanted to get something like my desk at work, so I asked my boss where he got them from. He said he actually got them from a place that sells conference tables. So I started looking around for stuff like that, and I found one that I really liked, so I went ahead and ordered it. It’s really nice looking, and I can’t wait until it gets here. Hopefully my desk doesn’t collapse between now and then.

I just got me some new kichler lighting. They are sweet. I got tired of looking at the same lights everytime I walked into the kitchen, so I figured it was time for an upgrade. And, when I do something new, I try to do it nice and right, and these new ones look great. They weren’t too expensive at all either. I thought for something like what I got would cost me a whole lot more than what it did. So, I am of course happy with that. But regardless of price, as long as things look nice then I don’t care. And, they do look really nice, so mission accomplished.

I think I’m going to go ahead and get me some new wood blinds. The blinds I have hanging up now are pretty old and very boring looking. We’ve replaced everything else in the house since we have moved in, but not those. So, everything else around them are new and nice, but then there are some old crappy boring blinds hanging up. So, I’m going to start looking online and find a good price. I do know for sure that I want to get wood blinds though, because it will really match the rest of my house.
