Well I just found out my uncle just checked himself into alcohol rehab on Friday. It’s so sad that it has come to this. I’m glad he’s going to get help though. He definitely needs it. It has really gotten out of control.  My grandma has been trying to deny it for years, but hasn’t been able to lately.  It has been so obvious since he lost his job.  Hopefully it will make things better for him.

I can’t find anything to eat for lunch. Even though there is tons of food in there, I can’t pick anything out that I want. Maybe a can of soup actually, I haven’t ate that in a while. I’ll have to see what’s in there.

So I went to look for stuff for Christmas, and found this great site that I can use for our corporate Christmas cards that we are going to send out this year to all of our clients.  We can put pictures of our staff in the cards if we want or just get them printed.  Its pretty cool.  We usually just buy some and hand write them all, but we have grown too much to do that anymore.  These cards will be perfect and I can just get them ordered and then they will be out of the way and one less thing I have to worry about this year.  And they are such quality cards that even celebrities order from them.

I can’t believe the holidays are coming so quickly.  There is so much to do in a very little amount of time.  Now I am off to find christmas things that I need.

My boss was talking to me yesterday about this site that he used to get Unsecured Business Loans.
He went on and on about the site and how great the service was there and how quickly he can get the money he needs to make our business grow. I am glad there are places out there that help take care of the smaller businesses and keeping small business alive. We had been talking about moving me up as a partner and he was telling me how easy it was to get the application done and how quickly I could have the cash in hand to bring more product into our business. It is something I am definately considering and when I decide I know where my money will come from.

Why is it still a million degrees outside.  It is supposed to be fall, but NO it has to still be summer weather.  I can’t believe we are still wearing shorts.  The leaves aren’t really changing, they are just dying and falling off.  I think part of that has to do with the drought too.  Oh well, I hope it cools down soon.

For some reason lately I have been asked to do quite a few kitchen remodeling jobs. There is only one down side to that… I am horrible at it. I redid my kitchen about a year and a half ago and I still to this day hate the way that it looks. It was basically one of those things were I saw people on tv doing it, they made it look easy so I just assumed that I could do it with no problem. I was obviously very wrong and if you have ever seen my kitchen you know how wrong that I was. But, I think that might change here very soon. Hopefully, at least. I found this website that sells a ton of instructional DVDs, they have tons of stuff to read about different jobs that you might be wanting to do and they even have a forum with tons of really nice people that will give you advice on pretty much anything you could think of to ask. The way I see it is, knowledge is power and the more things I can read up on, and watch videos of people actually doing it the better off I’ll be if I try to help somebody else do something. Or hopefully one day redo my own kitchen again and make it look not so terrible. That would be a dream come true.

Have you ever entered a contest before and just had a really strong feeling that you are going to win? Well, I just entered a contest online for a Free Raleigh Getaway in North Carolina. It’s just one of those things that when I pressed that enter button to sumbit my information I just really felt that I was going to win this one. For one thing, I never win anything, so I am pretty much due for a good payout, right? But, seriously this trip sounds really nice. You get 2 tickets to the North Carolina Theatre and I have always heard that place is awesome. If I win then maybe I can see the NC Theatre’s production of Man of La Mancha. That would be the perfect fall getaway really. It’s pretty much like perfect hidden treasure vacation. Oh, and you also get 2 tickets so some dinosaur thing, which I am not even really sure what it is, I haven’t looked into it yet, but if it has to do with dinos then you know that I am all for it.

The only bad part is that I have to be prepared to not win it. So, if that does happen I think I might have to set aside a few extra bucks here and there so I can just take the trip myself. After reading all of the information about it I have myself so excited about it, I just have to go either way. But, I think I’ll just go ahead and win…it will be easier that way.

For a while now I have been looking for a solution to my phone problem for my company. The thing is, we’re not that big and honestly we don’t make tons of money. So once I go to our phone company and tell them I need a business line, they want to charge me an arm and a leg. And right now where we are we just put that into our budget. But, it’s something we’ve really needed for quite some time now. So, I started looking around online and I found a site that specializes in small business phone systems and they have really good prices. The plan that I am specifically looking into is called the Unlimited Extension Plus plan. It’s only $60 a month, and that is literally half of what the phone company wants to charge me. And, the really cool thing is that with that price it includes the equipment that I need. There is a one time activation fee that I will have to pay, but that’s only $40 and again that is half of what the phone company wants from us. I’m also thinking about paying another $15 and adding on the Virtual Attendant as well. That way I can have really nice menus set up for when people call in. They can press the certain button to what they are wanting, and that way when our phone rings it will already give us an idea of what kind of call we are about receive. It’s such a good price for that. I can’t wait to get it all going. It’s going to make everything run so much more smoothly, and in all reality that is priceless.
So, if you own a small business I really suggest you look into it. Or if you already have a phone system set up, look into and chances are you’ll be able to save yourself quite a bit of money. I can’t think of anybody that owns a small business that doesn’t want to cut costs here and there, so this is the perfect chance to do so.

I got some newfinancial reporting software so that I can keep better track of my money that I spend on my home company.Too many times I’ll spend money with my own credit card rather than the business card, and it really screws everything up. Having the new software will really help me out with keeping things seperate and orgazined. I know I’ve just threw away alot of money because I didn’t keep track of it as good as I should, but that should be over now.
